Temple Beth El Shaarey Zedek
Sunday Services.
The subject of Rabbi Franklin's
sermon on Sunday morning will be
"The Peace Idea in Jewish Litera-
ture." Services begin at 10:45. All
are welcome.

congregation is called by Rabbi
Franklin to the fact that official
duties in connection With the meet-
ing of the Central Conference of
American Rabbis will require his
absence from the city for about ten
days beginning June 26th. It is re-
quested that persons requiring his
services should bear this in Mind.
In fact, no function at which the
rabbi's services are required should
be arranged for before consulting
him. If members of the congrega-
tion will bear this in mind, it will
avoid embarrassment and disap-
pointment.
The secretary of the congrega-
tion, Mr. Adolph Freund, requests
that members of the congregation
should notify him promptly ' of
change of address.
The principal speaker at last
Sunday's meeting of the Men's
Club of Shaarey Zedek was Mr.
Samuel J. Rhodes, Who spoke on
"The New Nationalism."
The Sliaarey Zedek Juniors held
a regular Sabbath morning service,
which was well attended. A ( the
next service, Joseph 1\lorris will
talk on "Jewish Ethics."
At the last meeting of the Young
People's Auxiliary of Shaarey
r. Fred M. Ilutzel gave a
very interesting address on "Some
Currents in Modern Education."
lrs. F. Kemp delighted the audi-
ence with several vocal solos, for
which Miss Edith Ella Davis was
the accompanist.
The final meeting of tile season
of the Ladies' Auxiliary of Shaarey
Zedek will take place on Monday,
May 8. An exceptionally line pro-
gram has been obtained for the oc-
casion. The following will partici-
pate: Mrs. Pearl Tannenholz Loew-
enthal, vocal solo; Mrs. Sidney
Stone, recitations ; Miss Tillie Gar-
rett, piano solo. •
Refreshments will be served. All
members are asked to attend.
