THE PEOPLE’S FOOD CO-OP OF ANN ARBOR
ORIGINALLY OPENED AS A GRADUATE STUDENT
PROJECT AT THE SCHOOL OF SOCIAL WORK IN
1971 AS A WAY FOR LOW INCOME INDIVIDUALS
TO GET FRESH, HEALTHY FOOD. DECADES LATER,
IT CONTINUES TO SERVE THE COMMUNITY.

THE PEOPLE’S FOOD CO-OP AIMS TO CONNECT
THE COMMUNITY TO GOOD FOOD PRODUCED
WITH BOTH SUSTAINABILITY & ACCESSIBILITY
IN MIND, PRIORITIZING PRODUCTS THAT ARE
GROWN WITHIN 300 MILES OF ANN ARBOR.

THE CO-OP ALSO OFFERS A VARIETY OF
COOKING CLASSES AND FOOD LECTURES TO
EDUCATE AND INFORM THE COMMUNITY
ABOUT SUSTAINABILITY AND CLEAN EATING.
