Daily Sleuth Listens In On
Bed Room Chatter Between
Varga Girl And Daisy Mae
(By special permission we bring
the following eye-witness account as
seen by a sophomore sleuth addicted
to day and other types of dreaming.)
There they were: Betty Petty, The
Varga Girl, Jane Arden and Li'l Ab-
ner's own honey, Daisy Mae. They
were all in the same room with one
divan, one Mae West bed, a type-
writer and a fireplace.
"I hear," coos Betty as she zips at
her zipper, "that some U. of M. prof.
claims the perfect man is a more
beautiful specimen, artistically speak-
ing, than the perfect woman."
The Varga Girl is gracing the
divan. She raises one lovely naked
limb and peeks at her toes.
"I really don't see how that con-
cerns you," she stabs at Betty.
Daisy Mae just looks soulful. She
pokes the logs in the fireplace.
But not Arden. She bangs backthe
carriage on her mill, tosses her gains
on the top of the thing and dives
right in (conversationally):
"Well, dearies," she gabs, "it has
been my experience that the likes of
you will never see anything that re-
sembles the perfectly formed male be-
cause all the guys you meet are too
damn rich to worry about muscle."
"Mebbe tha's right," pipes up Daisy
Mae. "Ah thinks my Abner (gulp)
is bee-oo-tiful. He is so strong and
powerful-why ah jes' shudders at
the thought!"
"Nuts," says The Varga Girl as she
drops a couple million sex-ergs, (the
leg), throws her arms over her heat,
and just-well-relaxes.
Betty zips her zipper shut and picks
up a white telephone from a stand
near the Mae West bed.
"Mr. Esquire's cute, but he doesn't
pack exactly what you'd call power,"
she observes. "Maybe that prof. knew
what he was talking about. George
always tells me that I'm the perfect
beauty.
Then she goes on to say that the
professor says the perfect man's
qualities of broad shoulders, mighty
biceps, flexing tendons and tapering
body are real beauty. The man has
height, too. But women-they're
short, squat, with broad hips, thin
shoulders, and flabby arms and legs.
"Now you're catching on," says
Jane Arden, woman of the world.
"Faith, it's wondahful," purrs
Daisy Mae as the vision of her colos-
sal Li'l Abner comes again.
"Nuts," says The Varga Girl.
Whereupon Betty dials a number,
Arden goes back to her typewriter,
Daisy Mae begins to cry, The Varga
Girl arises and begins to dress, and
we leave the post at the key-hole and
dash madly for a pair of dumb-bells.
