LET BYGONES BE BYGONES,
speaking of exams, and never let
them be mentioned again or the
curse of Ann Arbor shall be thrust
upon you. Remember now, we start
the new semester with the gayest
of all gaieties-our one and only
J-Hop where Ann Arbor's best
frolics tonight and where every-
one can let off a little bit (or a
whole lot if you'd rather) of the
well-known steam after having
been glued to the books (whoa!
that curse!) for so long-or am I
presuming a little too much; But
good times are coming and don't
you forget it ! ! !
SOFT LIGHTS AND SWEET
MUSIC is the word for J-Hoppers
including, of course, those wonder-
ful intervals of real swing and
rhythm by "Father" Hines. But
breaking a little bit into your line
of thought, are you remembering
that Sunday is Valentines' Day
and that this lovely lady with
whom you are enjoying the Hop
will never forget your thoughtful-
ness if you surprise her with a
Valentine bouquet. You hadn't
forgotten, now had you? I trust
not! And if you hurry the UNI-
VERSITY FLOWER SHOP can
really fix you up. Don't forget,
a girl appreciates a little thought!
Guys and Gals included! May I
hint a colonial bouquet for Moth-
er's Valentine! Not a bad idea and
what's more you'll be forever the
apple of her eye!
WHEN IS A HEART A HEART?
On Valentines? I don't know! You
know you never can tell and even
then sometimes you're fooled! But
if you want to get a real surprise
then just cast your wayward
glances at CALKINS-FLETCH-
ERS perfume counter and you'll
see hearts and hearts and inside
each one you'll find a bottle of
Mary Dunhill gardenia perfume
-really it's the newest, most ador-
able gift that this gadder-abouter
has seen in some time. And what's

more each heart box is lined with
red velvet-real, red velvet! Just
think of that-and then think
again and you too will decide that
it IS a grand idea for a gift! What
say!
THE LADY IN RED was among
those present, but don't think that
she stole the whole show-there
were ladies in white (a tradition,
you know, and O! so heavenly!),
ladies in exotic black, green-just
almost everything in colors and
materials - and good-looking? -
well they pass in review in BOB
GACH'S Candid Camera shots.
Just see for yourself and yourself
in these J-Hop "snaps" now at the
Arcade Camera Shop-you'll want
to keep these to remember one
grand time!
NEVER GONNA DANCE all the
time-you just can't (figure that
out) 'cause while you've been
dancing this whole week - end
through - there's a limit in every
good thing. In other words for-
mals can't be the word all the time
-because next week-end, for in-
stance, you'll be getting back to
"date" dresses and the ELIZA-
BETH DILLON SHOP is showing
some very cutie prints and navys
now that will be just the thing.
There's one in particular that just
made me think of you! It's a grey-
blue print with a stunning black
suede belt accentuated by a most
ingenious and clever fastening.
Then navy blue with tiny corded
pipings are definitely in! Don't
forget to always look your best-
you can bet you'll have the most
fun!
... HAD A LITTLE CURL right
in the middle of her forehead--
and that seems to be just the very
latest in coiffures and THE DI-
MATTIA BEAUTY SHOP can
make them to perfection. Not
only that but curls or waves any
way you want-if you have a new
idea, then let them have it and
you'll be transformed. Not a bad
idea-especially with our modern
"distinctive" era. Here in the
House of Dimattia you'll find
shampoo and fingerwave in the
very latest style. So to the pretty
co-ed, to the greatest of all J-Hops,
to many more to come-Ladies
and Gentlemen, a toast!
