people awake in lecture classes. Any
number of anecdotes about the tower
will liven the conversation that is just
beginning to drag now. You can point
out how our guest carilloneurs from
time to time play old folk songs, and
that the campus expects to hear "My
Heart Belongs to Daddy" most any time
now. You can tell her how just as Senior
Swingout was starting last spring the
tower chimed "Loch Lomond" and sev-
eral hundred seniors swear that it was
the swing version. Then there was the
night something went wrong and the
great bell started to chime about mid-
night and didn't stop for 152 chimes,
thoroughly waking the town.
Next stop Angell Hall. While this
building, the pride of the Lit School, is
quite a comedown from the Rackham
palace, it can be pointed out with open
pride that although the building is 17
years old it is still practically up-to-
date.
From there we go to the library. The
place is pretty well covered with ex-
planatory cards, but you probably didn't
know that it houses, including the in-
numerable other libraries and study
halls on campus, 1,025,815 books, of
which you have probably read at least
2 or 3 yourself.

pared before coming to see her. Noting
tlat something was amiss, Laura said,
"Why, Stanley, dear, don't you feel
well? 'It's been beastly weather we've
been having... perhaps I can make
you some hot lemonade."
"Darling, honey, I . .I," then the
words came forth in a great gush.
"Dearest, I've been unworthy of all
that you've thought of me. I've lowered
myself to the very depths of sin and
carousal. I can only throw myself on
the tender mercies of your compassion,
trusting that you will see that weak-
ness overcame me in an unprepared
moment, that I was unable to help my-
self. Darling, would you marry a man
who had wasted his substance playing
penny-cribbage for an entire evening?"
Laura's sweet lips speechlessly formed
the horrible words, her face drained
of blood. She seemed on the verge of
collapse, but stood finally and drawing
herself to her full height, drew the
diamond engagement ring from her
finger and threw it on the floor before
her broken lover, for she was a lady.

building. We will undoubtedly post a
ferocious . Nubian guard to ward off
the hordes of visitors, but ask for
Yussel, knock three times, and if a
man answers hangs up.

Law Quadrangle. Here you need no in-
