'41,. Miss Robinson chose white taf-
feta trimned in dubonnet, with a bouf-
fant skirt. The gown had a halter neck,
and she wore dubonnet accessories.
Mary Ellen Spurgeon. '40, chairman
of fevors, had as her guest Roy Suin-
merfield of Traverse City. Miss Spurg-
eon wore white chiffon studded with
rhin stones. The basque bodice was
shirred, and she wore a hoop skirt.
Harold Bolshuh, '4, chairman of
tickets, asked Lucille Kauer, '40, to at-
tend the Hop. Miss Kauer's gown was
of white silk jersev, striped in char-
treuse.
Mary Jean Bishop, '41, was the guest
of Charles Lane, co-chairman of decor-
ations. Miss Bishop wore whte taffeta
with a fitted bodice and a full skirt.
The dress was trimmed in cerise velvet,
and her accessories were in the same
color.
Don Nixon, '40, co-chairman of decor-
ations, had as his guest Ruihaisary
Smith,; '42. Miss S~th wore black net

As to the decorations: silver stars in
a center panel of blue gave a sky effect
to the motif. Booths were draped with
burgundy sateen trimmed in gold to
meet the columns. The columns also
met the booths. These aforementioned
columns were semi-circular instead of
the ordinary round affairs and had a
modernistic design, Wes Lane, '40, and
Don Nixon, '40, were responsible, if
Grover Whalen reads this.
