Swimmers Are Planning Dunking Lesson

Lads From Yale
Will Be There
For Atmosphere
You Don't Want To Miss This,
Girls; Our Captain Thomas Leads
Michigan's Fashion Extravaganza
By MELISSA
The swimmers of the University of
Michigan and Yale University will give
a fashion show at 7:30 tonight (Sat-
urday) at the Intramural Building Pool.
The natators have seized upon the
flimsy excuse of the scheduled meet and
have used it, with machiavellian fore-
sight, to preview te latest trends for
summer wear.
Michigan, led by its captain, Thomas
Haynie of Detroit, will be the first to
appear. Mr. Haynie is expected to wear
a dark blue rayon suit with the bot-
tom . exactly four inches below the
crotch.
Necklin~es will be unusually low this
season as the neck of the suit will come
down to precisely 3 7/8 inches below
the Adam's apples.
It is not yet known what the Eastern
representative will wear., Of course, it
is obvious that the Yale gentlemen will
appear clad in some form of blue. Tra-
dition can't be discarded over night,
you know. It is certain, moreover, that

of the East. They have put it on their
cake but can they have their cake and
eat it?
The Eli Yales will be led by John
Good, son of Mr. and Mrs. Good. From
reliable source it is learned that John
is Good. He has the knack of propelling
himself through the water at a remark-
ablle rate of speed. Seeing he comes
from Yale he will only swim free. That
is, free-style.
The Eli Biues also have two good
breast-strokers (Not to be related to

'Bunny Hug' Was Hot
Stuff Back In 1912
Whatever you do, don't do the Bunny
Hug at this year's Hop!
It was way back in 1912 that The
Daily came out with an editorial sham-
ing the young 'uns for their indecen-
cies on the dance floor. Cut out the
Turkey Trot, Grizzly Bear, Sear-cat
and the Bunny Hugu, said the crusading
Daily. The scolding bore fruit for not
even this year a single couple were
caught doing the Bunny Hug (at least
not on the dance floor).

MISTER HAYNIE

than a decade and a fortnight; Mr.
Kiphuth, through the medium of his
Yale natatorial aggregations, has led the
East along with a noose through their
noses.
Yale leads in dual meet victories. The
Eli Yales have emerged with two vic-
tories and one loss. The sole loss was
the direct result of Michigan beating
them 41-34. The Eli Yales have sworn
(figuratively speaking of course) re-
venge.
Thus far this season, they are unde-
feated. They have whipped the cream

the Eli Yales will bring with.them sone-
thii'g deliciously new.
Rumors have been floating about that
the bronzed young giants from New
Haven, Conn., U.S.A., will bring quel-
que chose revolutionary to Ann Arbor.
These rumors have been fervently de-
nied by their mothers, the Daughters of
the American Revolution and Tom Gird-
ler, who wrote a collective letter of pro-
test to the President decrying the Rus-
sia~n influence and demanding that
Trotsky be hanged.
Some sources close to New Haven
have it that strapless bathing suits will
be the coming thing. The manufactur-
ers will fight this to the last strap. But
the ivy-covered halls of Yale have long
been noted for their production of
fashion setters. They may yet flaunt
the decree of their tycoon fathers. Ir-
repressible youth and all that.
Bronze and muscle will be the order
of the evening as intersectionalism runs
rampant. Mr. Matthew Mann, II., of
Ann Arbor, and Mr. Robert Kiphuth, oft
North Tonawanda, N.Y., have long been
noted as leaders of the respective so-
cieties.
Mr. Mann II has been the recognized
patron of Western swimming for more
