Paul Cook, '39, chairman of Alpha Sigma Phi activities, an- nounces a breakfast and formal dance on Saturday, while Edwin Derby, III, '39, Beta Theta Pi chairman, an- nounces a cabaret supper, which was held tonight before the Hop, and a breakfast, a formal dance and a sleigh-ride or theatre party (depend- ing on the weather) tomorrow. Other fraternities holding house- parties are Chi Phi, Kappa Nu, Alpha Tau Omega and Hermitage. Chi Phi and Hermitage gave a formal dinner tonight preceding the dance, and both will follow the Hop with break- fasts, as will Kappa Nu. An afternoon of winter sports will be followed by an informal dance tomorrow at Chi Phi, and Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Owen and Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Wendell of Detroit, are the chaperons. Tomorrow night will find an informal dance in progress at Kappa Nu, a formal dance at Alpha Tau Omega. Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Kessel, of Ann Arbor, are chaperoning at Kappa Nu; Mr. and Mrs. Edward Carlson and Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Slootmaker, of Grand Rapids. at Alpha Tau Omega, and Mr. and Mrs. H. Milton Barrett, of Detroit,at Hermitage. Phi Beta Delta will give a tea dance Saturday which Mr. and Mrs. Peter Gilbert, of Detroit, will chaperon. Delta Sigma Delta, with Dr. and Mrs. Phillip Northrop and Dr. and Mrs. George Moore of Ann Arbor, as chaperons, Chi Psi, chaperoned by Mr. and Mrs. Perret of Detroit, and Dr. and Mrs. Bailey of Chicago, Aca- cia, chaperoned by Mr. and Mrs. Rus- The crowds, which might do their shopping, doing their shopping.
