UNIVERSITY OF KANSAS GETS 12,000,00-YEAR-OLD SHIP-LIZARD Lawrence, Kan., April 2.-After a record voyage of more than 12,000,000 years, a ship-lizard has at last reached a final harbor in the museum of the University of Kansas. The ship-lizard is a reptile belong- ing to the Naosaurus Claviger, which existed about 12,000,000 years ago. The specimen was found in western Texas recently by a moan making a collect- ipg trip for the museum. Only two other specimens are in existence, one at the University of Chicago, and the other in the American museum. With a body similar to that of an alligator, the ship-lizard has a re- markable development of the spine which resembles the rigging of a ship. It is about nine feet "on". DEAN MYRA B. JORDAN GOES TO WASHINGTON TO ALUMNAE MEET ,Dean Myra B. Jordan has gone to Washington, D. C., to attend a meet- ing of the National Association of Col- legiate Alumnae and later to repre- sent Michigan at a conference of deans of women and presidents of women's colleges to be held at Goucher college, Baltimore.
