ASK ANSWERSI QERIES "PROSPECTIVE MEMBERS" OF NA- VAL 111LITIA WANT INFORMIA- TION Editor, Th Michigan Daily: In the Dec. 15 issue of The Michigan Daily there appeared a communication regarding the naval militia recruiting station on the campus which as yet is unanswered. In this communication seven questions were asked, all of which we would like to see answered and know of no reasons, since they are not only fair and legitimate, but of vital interest to those joining, why they should not be answered. before others are mustered in wildly. Wheth- er or not these questions appear fool- ish to those in charge does not concern us. The students on the campus de-1 serve a square deal and for that rea- son these questions ought not to be sidestepped. PROSPECTIVE MEMBERS. LIFE MEMBERSHIP WORK BEGUN Gladys Whelan in Charge of Women's League Campaign The Women's league has begun its active campaign for life memberships. The committee which has the work in charge is composed of Gladys Whelan, '17, general chairman; Euthymia Hild- ner, '17, Helen Brown, '18, Margaret Henderson, '18, Dorothy Pierce, '18, Anna MacMahon, '19, Hannah Champ- lin, '19, and Gertrude Gunn, '19. Over 1,500 letters are being mailed to alumnae and women interested in the welfare of the women at Michigan. It is hoped to place the league on a firm financial basis, thus enabling it to carry out its plans for a third dormi- tory for women and needed improve- ments on Palmer field. A campaign among the students will begin early next semester, when each sorority, league house, and both dormi- tories will be canvassed for member- ships. Prof. Hobbs Talks hi Grand Rapids Prof. W.
