REHEARSE FOR "MAGIC CARPET" Cast Spends Six Hours in Going Over Foreign Students' Play Five rehearsals, totaling over six hours, made yesterday a very busy day for Prof. J. E. Nelson, who is di- recting "The Magic Carpet." Every scene except the Hawaiian one was gone over in the sessions which, with the exception of a few hours at noon and In the evening, lasted' from 10 o'clock in the morning until 9 o'clock last night, when the first dress re- hearsal of the Hindu scene was ended. Professor Nelson was well satisfied with the showing made. Every scene is in excellent shape, so that the time after the Christmas vacation can be spent in rehearsing the complete play, with the cast costumed. 1IEDICAL FACULTY MEMBERS TO ATTEND MEETING IN N. Y. Several members of the anatomy de- partment's teaching staff are planning to attend the annual meeting of the American Association of Anatomists, which will be held in New York City during the holiday vacation. Professor G. Carl Huber has served as president of the association for the past two years. At the coming meeting Mr. Wayne J. Atwell will read a paper en- titled, "On the Relations Between Neu- ral and Intermediate Portions of the Hypophysis." Ernest H. Barnes PWins Art Prize Ernest H. Barnes instructor in free hand drawing in the College of Archi- tecture, received the Scarab club sec- ond prize in the exhibition of Mich- igan artists now being held in the Detroit art museum, under the auspices of the Scarab club of Detroit.
