M. C. A. has adopted a new plan for work among foreign stu- dents this year. The "Y" endeavors to do everything possible toward giv- ing foreign students all opportunities .which American students enjoy. By a series of social gatherings, -given to each of the groups of foreign students, it is planned to bring the men into closer touch with each other, with the faculty, and with other stu- dents on the campus. These meetings will probably be held in Newberry hall until the new "Y building is ready for occupyancy. Raphel A. Soto, 'of the University of Illinois, will speak at the first meeting. A social gathering to include all foreign students will be held Dec. 1, at which time the national secretary of Chinese student work will be pres- ent. The association also hopes to open a night school next week for foreign- ers in Ann Arbor not enrolled in the University. English, mathematics, and some commercial courses will be taught. An employment beureau has been maintained for foreign students this fall. This agency has provided the means of keeping .one student in col- lege whose financial remittances were cut off by the movement of the armies in Europe. Hamill, playing left half for the vic- tors,. gained about as much ground as .a certain other left half well known in Michigan football circles' usually does. His end runs were the fea- ture of the game and he - galloped around the extremities for 40 and 50- yard advances repeatedly. The lineup: Medics Dents.
