Sev eral fine wells have been developed on leases owned by Yost, who has moved his family here because his interests have grown so large that they require all of his time. Oil well experts pre- dict that his fortune will soon make the gate receipts of a Michigan-Min- nesota football game look like a white chip in a broker's poker game. Yost has been in the oil game here a little over a year. Following early reverses in these oil fields, "Hurry- Up" and his drillers hit several 200- barrel-a-day producers. and he im- mediately joined the ranks of other less famous prospectors. To the boys in Winchester Yost is a hero. The Standard Oil company is not overlooking him, either, as he re- ceived a fair slice of the $10,000,000 which that company scattered among the owners of good producing wells a few days ago. The coach is so happy over the way fortune has smiled upon him here that he has promised to make the Winclbester high school football team champions of Kentucky next fall. And the boys believe he will do it, too.
