Dr. Berbert W. Emerson of the Un-
iv~ersity Pasteur institute, who was
seriously injured on Friday afternoon
iii ifront of :Barbour gymnasium, when
r? west-hound North University avenue
'ar struck his automobile, although
imuproving, is not out danger.
An X-ray picture showed that Dr.
I smerson suffered a three inch frac-
ture on the left side of his head at
the base of his brain. No bones were
dislocated,.lie suffered severely at
first from the shock and concussion,
but with the exception of painful
bruises, no further injuries were sus-
tained. l
