Upon receiving word today that the president strongly dis-ap- proves further war inquiry by the senate military committee even in its modified form, -both sides laid plans for the fight which probably will begin' tomorrow. Senator 'Chambelain of Oregon, chairman of the military committee, has stated that he will favor abandon- ment of the committee's investigation unless the measure is passed in its present form. The resolution was favorably re- ported to the senate by Senator Mc- Kellar of Tennessee, a Democrat, and 1e and Senator Chamberlain said to- night they might have the resolution called up tomorrow, but that it might go over until Saturday or early next weekt.
