LECTURES PLANNED FOR SUMMER SCHOOL In" addition to the regular courses offered, summer school students will be given, the opportunity of attending a well planned series of lectures and entertainments, one of which will be held nearly every afternoon and eve- 1 ing in the auditorium of the Natural Science building. The lectures will cover a great div- ersity of subjects including a large number of war topics. Prof. C. H. Van Tyne will give the first war talk on the "Causes and Issues of the War." The other lectures on this subject dis- cuss the various phases of the war and the probable economic and social re construction after peace is made. The four lectures on English liter- ature will include three by Rabbi Louis Wolsey, of Cleveland, on "The Jew in English Literature as Represented by Several Classic Authors." Prof. L. A. Strauss will give one talk on "Robert Browning, a Poet for Men." The other lectures will include ad- dresses on personal hygiene, laws of evolution, travelogues and many other practical subjects. Chief among the entertainments planned are four performances by Elsie Herndon Kearns and her com- pany of Woodland players.
