C. will have had practice in baseball before the end of the term, according to the plan devised by Dr. May. The regu- lar company teams will commence practice this week and will play the first inter-company games Saturday morning from 10 to 12 o'clock. The schedule for the games will be pub- lished Friday morning. As soon as the teams are practicing and an idea obtained as to the num- ber of diamonds that will be requir- ed for this work, Dr. May intends to devote the remainder of the ball fields to general use by all the companies for hard ball practice. In this man- ner it is planned to give every man a taste of real baseball before the end of the semester. As many teams as possible will be developed in the dif- ferent companies. Men in charge of the company teams are requested to report promising ma- terial to Dr. May so that the freshman and Varsity coaches may get a Iine on the class shown by members of the teams. The R. Property Detroit, April 27.-Purchase of the Detroit university school propertyf located on Elmwood avenue betweenY Congress and Larned streets will pro- bably be made by the city this year. City bonds will be accepted by the owners in payment. The price has been set at $165,000. The property will be used as a recreation center.
