In the third Liberty Loan Drive, every person
must be reached, and it is the small bonds to in-
dividuals that mount up and help make the tre-
mendous total of THREE BILLION DOLLARS.
By now we are determined to win this war; we
know that our cause is one that cannot be lost;
we know the issues, and our boys have already
clashed with the enemy. As the war continues,
we will be called upon to give up more and more,
and the little that we are requested to give now
is ridiculously small. WE ARE ASKED NOT TO
GIVE ANYTHING, BUT JUST TO LOAN OUR
MONEY, with a substantial return at four and a
quarter per cent interest.
Our quota must be oversubscribed, Michigan
fell far below her quota in War Savings Stamps,
and must come back strong in this third Liberty
Loan Drive.
