Monahan, commonly known as "Jay" Monahan, of Ann Arbor, was killed in a motorcycle accident at Camp Custer Sunday, according to word received yesterday. Monahan was one of the first men to leave Ann Arbor for Camp Custer and was a member of the supply company. While driving back to camp accompanied by the captain and the lieutenant of his company, there was a collision with fatal result to the driver. Letters received by his friends contained in- formation that Monahan was to come home on a furlough soon.
