The plucky little sub quarter show- ed Wednesday that he can run the team in an emergency. Now he will be given a chance to get the fine points of the game well in hand while Sparks is, resting. Rye and Cohn, aided by Froemke, will be the regular halfbacks. This allows big Joe H~anish to be- shifted to an end position, where Michigan has the greatest need for an exper- ienced man. Boyd has been rated faster than Culver and will replace him, while the latter will be moved to guard. Beath, although light, has been put back in his old place at center, shift- ing Goodsell to guard. Goetz will hold down the other end. Lambert has been kept in line for the job at center, but has not been coming out often enough. Diekema, from last year's All-fresh, appeared yesterday, and went through a lively workout at an end position. Cary, big, but inexperienced in 'college football, drew a suit for the first time yester- day. The Kemfp Music Studio: Piano, Organ, Voice Culture. 312 S. Division St. Phone 212-J.--Adv. Patronize Our Advertisers.-Adv. As a result of the disastrous game Wednesday a general shake-up of the Michigan line-up was made yester- day by Coach Yost. Hanish has been moved to end, Culver to guard, Boyd to tackle, and Beath, Goodsell and Goetz have been returned to their jobs at center, guard, and end, respectively. Sparks will be kept out of the game for a few days to be given a chance to recover from minor injuries before the University of Detroit and M. A. C. games. Genebach will pilot the team, Another reason for keeping Sparks out of the activities is to develop Genebach to the point where he can be used ALL-FRESH LOOK FOR NO EASY VICTORYSATURDAY 'YESTERDAY'S PRACTICE LEAVES MITCHELL BADLY BRUISED OUTFIT Signals, forward passing, punting and a scrimmage between the All- fresh seconds and the Varsity scrubs made up the practice that Coach Mitchell put his warriers through last evening. The recent battles. that the yearlings have been carrying on have bruised them up considerably, and they are to have things easy for the rest of the week. Boville and Clippert, reg- ular All-fresh end and center, have been thrown around so much that they will not start the Ypsilanti game. In their places will be Sturrit, a Grand Rapids Central man, and MacNickel, a former Toledo Scott star. MacNick- el has shown considerable promise during the few days that he has been out, so now the freshman coach has two good centers at his disposal. Although Peacock will start the game at tackle and Usher at fullback, the former will be switched to the line-plunging position before the game is over, and Von Wagner will take the tackle. Henry and Lent are the of- ficial choices for the guard positions. Their lot will be a hard one during the preliminary battle next Saturday, for opposite them will play Price and Lawler, two of the Normal School's veterans, who played on the team that held last year's yearlings to a 0-0 tie. Besides these two, there will be Wil- son at fullback, Longnecker, center, Walters an end, Mitchell and Doone tackles, and Jacox one of the halves, all veterans of the teachers' last year's near championship aggregation.
