L'EOPLE DO NOT REALIZE NECESSITY FOR SAVING FOOD Food Spoiling in Pacific Coast Cities Because of Unwise Man- agement "People don't see the need of saving food," said Franklin W. Fort, repre- sentative of Food Administrator Hoov- er, yesterday. "One great trouble with the food conservation movement is the failure to state the saving to be accomplished, in an actual concrete form. Some parts of the country are doing more than they are being asked," he said, "with the result that on the Pacific coast, the amount of meat in the storage houses has become so large that it has begun to spoil." In regard to the Michigan adminis- tration, Mr. Fort said that the whole organization, both state officers and county officials seem thoroughly awake. The government heads are ex- pecting that the results will be bigger than ever before. Gasoline 23c,.Polarine 68c. etaebler & Co., 117 S. Ashley St.-Adv. Buy your aln| clocks at . L Chapman's.
