ESS SUITS FOR HIRE HIRTS TO ORDER A LCOLM . Malcolm Block Want a Job? 'Y' Has Iany Kinds Y. M. C. A. means, "You May Catch Anything,"-if you hunt a position through the employment bureau of the University Y. M. C. A. Here is the sort of positions for which help was asked, a good many of them being freak ones: Men to drive F'ords, help float the Liberty loan, pare potatoes, pick apples, teach bookkeep- ing and shorthand, barbers, potato diggers, dishwashers, porters, hotel clerks, freight handlers, hod carriers, mail carriers, cobblers, carpenters, and druggists--all in urgent demand. Still more peculiar are some of the positions students apply for. Some of these are clerks, movie ushers and op- erators, musicians, lecturers, waiters, "anything," librarians, coaches and companions, while many want "some- thing easy." It is no wonder that with positions such as these the employment bureau has been rushed.. More than 400 positions have been ld this fall through medium of the "Y" and there are several positions still unfilled. Neal D. Ireland, '18, is t'e employment secretary and may be found in, Lane hall at the following hours: 7:30 to 8:30 o'clock mornings, 12:30 to 1:30 o'clock and 6:30 to 7:30 o'clock afternoons, and from 8 to 11 o'clock Saturday mornings.
