The reorganization will be effective at the beginning of the second semester. The cadets that were formerly in the first battalion of the First regiment will remain in the sante companies, unless transfers have been requested. In the future there will be two battalions to a regiment instead of three. All trans- fers have been given careful attention and the men who have asked to be placed 'in certain companies have been granted the transfer in nearly every case considered. "Preliminary Training for Target Practice," is the subject of a lecture to be given by Lieut. George C. Mul- len to the cadets of the First regi- ment at 4:15 o'clock this afternoon in University hall. This will be the last address this semester. Members of the R. O. T. C. band will take drill work during the second semester. The first meeting will probably be held on Feb. 11. Further information will be posted on the mil- itary bulletin boards during the exam- ination weeks. A number of special drills will be held during the next two weeks for the cadets to make up the unexcused ab- sences before the end of the first sem- ester. The hours of drills will be listed on the bulletin boards before Mpnday morning. The last athletic and gymnastic program to be given this semester by Dr. George A. May is scheduled for the cadets in the second battalion of the Second regiment at 4:15 o'clock this afternoon in Waterman gymnas- lum.. Miss Talmadge is called upon for some exceptionally strong dramatic acting, and after see- ing this artist in "The Mth," it will be a source of wonder that such a charming creature as Miss Talmadge can so well portray the stern reali- ties of life. In addition to these duties she is acting as sole producer of "Follow Me," and designing all the costumes for the production. These costumes, which are said to be beautiful, are also of expensive materials, and the leading woman her- self never wears a gown whose price is under four figures. "The Midnight Follies," appearing at the Whitney tomorrow night, is said to be a pleasing musical comedy, with a so-called Broadway beauty chorus. In the cast are Happy Ben Way, late principal comedian with Neil O'Brien's Minstrels, Dusty Ahodes, "the man with the funny face," Jimmie Mullen, Miss Loala Carter, and Miss Florence of the "Girl's in Toyland Company." AT THE MAJESTIC |William Hart will appear at the Ma- jestic on Sunday in the latest of his photo plays, "The Apostle of Ven- geance." The story is one of the type so popular a while ago, with, - the scene laid in the atmosphere of the Cumberland mountains of Kentucky. Mr. Hart interprets the character of a Kentuckian brought up in New Eng- land, who has no patience with the feud ideas of his family. When called back from New England, to take the place at the head of his house, after the murder of his father, he tries to preach the gospel of the brotherhood of man, peace-on-earth, and good will to all warring mountaineers.
