ANNUAL EVENT TO BE HELD ON FRIDAY AND SATURDAY, APRIL 26, 27 Pennsylvania's 24th annual relay race carnival, which will be held on April 26 and 27 this year, should be one of the most interesting sets of games ever held in this country. Al- ready assurances have been received from Yale, Harvard Princeton, Cor- nell, Michigan and Chicago and many other colleges that they will be rep- resented. The meeting will be especially in- teresting this year because of the fact that the coaches of the. different col- leges find themselves minus their last year's point winners. Though the championship events will not be up to the standard of pre-war times, there' are sport articles daily which pro- claim the fact that many coaches have discovered phenomenons in the track events. To the general public it will be more interesting this year to see. the new stars unheard of last season clip the seconds off long standing re cords. - Games on Friday and Saturday The games will be held on Friday and Saturday as usual. The Friday program will have as its special at- tractions the sprint, distance, distance medley relays, and the Penthalon or All-round college championship. It is very probable that the medley relay championship race, will be very popu- lar this year as the smallness of the track teams will not permit the coaches to enter their men into the one, two, and. four mile relay race but they can use their fastest men in the medley race whether they are sprinters or distance men. With Berry, the famous nnsyl- vania .athlete out of the way, there should be a host of entrie. in the Pen- tathlou event,. Big Relay Races on Saturday On Saturday, the one, two, and four mile college relay, championships of Amercia, the freshman one mile relay championship, the high school and preparatory relay championships, and the special events will be the main features. Pennsylvania's management "'also' plans on carrying through service e- lays between the army and navy cam'ps that should prove a big' attraction. At last year's; eeting over 300 teams were in the field and more are expected this year as the coaches real- ize that the athletes must have a special incentive in accordance with the order of the government to con- tinue athletics in all schools at' full swing General Program The general program fo Friday and Saturday is as follows: Friday, pr11 "26 4 440 yards hurdle, heats.
