PLACE RAN ON ROWDY DANCES OF SOLDIERS AT CAMP CUSTER Battle Creek, Dec. 14.-Soldiers from Camp Custer are already barred from two dance halls here in an at- tempt to put a stop to rowdy dances. City Attorney Joseph L. Hooper is at work on a new ordnance for the control of dance halls and this will probably result in placing dances on somewhat the same basis that they hold in Chillicothe, O., since the es- tablishment of its national army can- tonment. In the meantime a military police *man will be present at every dance held in the city, while a ban has been placed on two well known party halls. An ordaer from Major Smalley, of the military police, states that a guard stationed at all dances held in the Auditorium dance hall and Goguac Lake dance hall will prevent all sol- diers from entering.
