This gives an idea how big one turkey of that weight would be. Then imagine a sea of cranberries, car loads of dressing, a stack of mince pies, 1,500 feet high. With all of this stuff set out before 31,000 men, it woud make a good Thanksgiving dinner for each one. And this is Just what it will do. For the Sammies at Camp Custer simply must have a Thanksgiving dinner as fine as their fellowmen. Now just go a bit further and no- tice the rations for these soldiers on ordinary days for a period of 31 days: 722,500 pounds of fresh beef, 260,000 pounds of bacon, 906,750 pounds of flour, 8,060 half-pound cans of baking powder, 120,900 pounds of beans, 1,007,500 pounds of potatoes, 56,420 pounds of coffee, 151,200 pounds of sugar, 12,924 hotel cans of evapor- ated milk, 4,030 gallons of vinegar, 32,240 pounds of salt, 8,060 gallons of syrup, 56,420 two ounces of flavoring extract, and 36,240 pounds of butter. -* - S* * *s 9*s5s s *s WuerthTheatre BOOKINGS FOR OCTOBER = Prices: xz Cents Matinees 2, 3:30.
