Conducting a round table on the
Philippines, Professor Joseph; R.
Hayden of the political science de-
partment will be at the Williamstown
Institute of Politics, Williamstown,
Mass., from July 28 to August 25. The
Institute is the seventh annual one
of its kind held under the direction of
President Harry A .Garfield of Wil-
liams college.
Professor Hayden will be in charge
of .the discussions on problems re-

garding the Philippines, in which
many of the staesmen, scholars and
publicists at the Institute will take
part. He was a special correspondent
of the Christian Science Monitor ac-
companying Col.} Carmi A. Thompson,
representative of President Coolidge,
on his investigation trip to the islands
last year. Previous to that, he was
exchange professor from the Univer-
sity to the University of the Philip-
pines in 1922-3.
