The craze for the "biggest" is il lus~trated here with the picturing of the present leaders in ship, bridge,
building and hotel construction. The "?Majestic," and the "Leviathan" contest the claim of being the largest
liners. The Philadelphia-Camden bridge surpasses those of the East river in New York as the longrest bridge.
The Stevens Hotel, opened recently in Chicago, with three others slightly preceding it, give that cfiy the four
largest hotels in the world. The newBook Tower, under constructoin in Dtroit, will be considerably higher than
New York's famous Woolworth Building.
