HAMMILL SCORESI TARIFFPROGRAM (Iv Associated Press) Governor Hammill of Iowa scored the present tariff policy and pleaded for equality to the agricultural in- terests of the nation in his address yesterday before the annual Gov- ernors' conference now in session at Mackinac Island. "Western farmers in the future will study the tariff as they never have1 done in the past and will exert their influence in the direction which they determine to be for their best inter- ests regardless of their past politicall and economic affiliations," declared Gov. Hammill. After reviewing the history of agri- cultural troubles since the world war and demonstrating the causes of the farmers' difficulties, the Governor de- fended the recent farm relief bill and remarked that it was significant that the forces which have opposed the bill developed by the farmers had failed t6 bring forth an adequate sub- stitute for it even while admitting the necessity of national action. Railroads depend on Bowser for oil house systems, supply cars that travel thousands of miles of track. Automobile plants equip production lines with Bowser systems that fuel and lubricate new cars at one opera- tion. Great steel mills are Bowser-equipped. So are paint manufacturers, paper mills, machinery makers-in fact, Bowser pervades industry from "i" to 4y.
