Why: The sophomore right wing tallied three goals and one assist in last
weekend's games against Ferris State. Muckalt scored the last two goals of
the~ game Friday night, sealing Michigan's 5-2 win over the Bulldogs. The_
following night he had one goal and picked up an assist in the Wolverines' 4-1
vtory. In five games this season, Muckalt has racked up five goals and two
assists.
Background: Unanimously named to All-Rookie Team in 1994 ... 26 career
goals and 21 career assists... 6-foot, 185 pounds

'Why: Kris helped organize Michigan student-athletes reach out to the patients at Mott's Children's
Hospital for Halloween festivities. He coordinated the activities of the more than 50 student-athletes
who visited four floors of the hospital, giving out hats and stickers and taking pictures for the kids to
9~ ~,. keep, This was Kris's second trip to Mott's this semester and he is currently planning a day for the
,,men's cross country and track and field teams to go as a group.
Kris has also been involved in many other community relations activites, including speaking for the
D.A.R.E. program, a drug abuse resistance program run by the Ann Arbor Police Department.
Background: Kris ran in five meets this fall, his best finish coming at the Eastern Michigan Classic
Oct. 20, where he tied three fellow Wolverines for second place. He most recently ran at the Big Ten
Championships in Minneapolis, finishing 54th.
