showed up to impress the coaching
staff, but chances are virtually zero
.that any of them will be starting any
time soon.
"We're not looking for someone to
come in here and start," Dutcher said.
"We're just looking for people who
will play hard in practice."
Dutcher emphasized that the coach-
ing staff may not keep anyone from the
tryout.

"It didn't really hurt us," Frickel
said. "It woke us up that we need to take
care of business."
Oakland, the national Division II
runner up last year, provides the com-
petition for Michigan to continue build-
ing its confidence.
"They're one of the best teams in the
state," Sirrine said. "A win over them
would really mean a lot to us."
Sirrine also feels-the game will be
able to spark the Wolverines into the
postseason.
"We're building up now for
regionals," Sirrine said. "Hopefully,
we'll be able to play well enough to
eventually make it to nationals, which
is our main goal."
