points setting team record and breaking mark of95 he shared with J.D. Carlson ... ranked third
in the Big Ten and I1Ith in the nation in scoring average with 8.6 points per game . ..kicked
earrer-best four field goals (32,32,35,42 yards) including game-winner and garnered Big Ten
Special Teams Player of the Week honors for his performance... .repeated the featthree more
times during the season becoming the only player in school history to do so four times in one
-season ... enrolled in the Division of Kinesiology ... born August 30, 1974.

Why: Joe Marinaro served the community in many ways~this week., Last Saturday, while the
Wolverines had the day off, Marinaro spent the day at a picnic sponsored by the University
Hospitals Cardiac Pediatric division. He signed autographs and interacted with the children.'
Wednesday, Marinaro joined the hockey team in a visit to Mott's Children's Hospital. Finally, this
Saturday, Joe hosted Travar Pettway, an 18-year old parapleglic, at the football game. Through.
Marinaro's friendship, Pettway was able to gain access to-the press box to view Michigan's 38-19.

Background: Marinaro, an offensive tackle, is a general studies'major...He is one of the team.
captain ... He played baseball for two years in high school.
