The center allows parents to encourage and participate in creative activities with their children. ArtVentures is a department of the Ann Arbor Art Center. The Center offers art classes, gallery showings of Michigan artists, outreach programs to Washtenaw Area Schools and other Community Centers. Founded in 1991, ArtVentures allows children to explore their artistic freedom for a minimal fee. Children may come in with parents or be dropped off, during open hours, to create works of art. Paulina Patterson, age 5, of Ann Arbor, works on her Clear Brightness Festival Kite. Assistant Director of ArtVentures Amy Flanks brings different cultures to life for the children creating art projects.
