Bunch moved ahead of Texas A&M's Robert Wilson after the Aggie ran the 40-yard dash in 4.97 seconds. "(Bunch) was much better than Wilson at the Combines," Kiper said. However, Bunch might not be picked until the second or third round; he is the best prospect at his position, but few teams show a need at fullback right now, according to Kiper. ..... y ~ KTI 0 ~~~o~. .... .t~n 2~ Thp W~ I. ............. Thoughinvited, Vaughn decided not to attend the Combines. Despite impressing those teams for whom he worked out, his lack of experi- ence - one season in the starting backfield - could drop him to the fifth round. The next Wolverine expected to be picked is Key. Two-time all- American Tripp Welborne over- shadowed Key's play all season, but Key has emerged as a valued prospect. "He had a decent workout and could either play safety or cor- nerback," Kiper said. Key is pro- jected to be drafted by the sixth round. Welbomne was expected to be an early pick before tearing knee liga- ments against Minnesota in November.gBut because hesrecently began his rehabilitation, teams will be reluctant to select him high in the draft. However, they may chance that rehabilitation will lead to his previous stellar play. While some expect him to be taken by a team with extra choices in the later rounds, many others believe he will be a free agent. Boles has also been hindered by torn knee ligaments suffered against Minnesota in November, 1989. He has been rehabilitating for over a year, but because he has not returned to his pre-injury form, most agree he will be a free agent. After running slow times at the Combines, neither Dingman nor Dohring is expected to be picked be- fore the sixth round, and probably not until the eighth. But Dingman has ruled out nothing. "It's kind of one of those things that you have no say of what's going to happen," he said. "It's out of my control, but I definitely feel I have a good chance to play in the NFL." Kiper agrees. "Dingman is an overachiever. He's always played better than his numbers (size and speed), but he can play in the NFL." The other eligible Wolverine, Jefferson, did not run well in Indianapolis. If not chosen in the fi- nal rounds, he could sign on as a free agent. MOVING TO CHICAGO? "Chipping and putting bothered us again," LeClair said. "(The team is) trying too hard instead of going out and enjoying it, and that's beer causing problems." Having already golfed against Spring Classic opponents Illinois, Illinois State, Northern Illinois, Southern Illinois, and DePauw this spring, the Wolverines may relax and concentrate on their game more easily. Because Michigan has played competitively with five of the six teams in the field, it has a legitimate chance of winning its first tourna- ment of the spring. "If Erica Zonder, Becky Hayes and Kristin Beilstein shoot like they know they can, we will get our 960 goal and have a real strong chance of winning the tournament," LeClair said. Zonder thought changing the team's goal would help the4 Wolverines., "I think we should set our sights a little lower; it seems like if we aim for below 80 we get 81s and 82s," Zonder said. "Maybe if we set our goal at 75 or 76 we can get 78s or 79s." k inko's the copy center Heaven & Earth PG-13 The Nasty Girl PG-13 ILD E PRESENT THIS COUPON WITH PURCHASED TICKET THRU l 6ji /2/911 Open 24 Hours 540 E.
