YEAR: Sophomore WHY: Bigelow helped lead the Wolverines to their sixth straight Big Ten title. In winning the 100 and 200-yard backstrokes, in :49.92 and 1:46.33, respectively, Bigelow qualified for the NCAA Championships in both events and reset his own Big Ten record in the 200 backstroke. Bigelow also swam the backstroke leg of the 400 medley relay which placed second and also qualified for the NCAA Championships.
