TRAVEL
With leisure and money at their disposal, more Americans are discovering that the world does not end at
the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. This year travel abroad will become more prevalent than ever, and
thousands of Americans will be deposited on the shores of England, France and Italy to investigate the
treasures and fame of Europe. Some will resemble cartoonist Saul Steinberg's mechanical man in a gon-
dola; some will learn to appreciate Europe's beauty in spite of her sometimes false face. In this issue are
presented several approaches to present-day travel.
