Lan Lee dashes down the hall of
Martha Cook.
An exotic-looking Chinese young
lady, Mai Lan has a streak of
American deviltry-an imp in
Chinese clothing.
And this Chinese imp has a
beautiful wardrobe in which to
xexercise her Chinese charm. Or
as Mai Lan puts it, "Let's be
Oriental about the whole thing."

ican clothes," she says. And al-
though we doubt that anything
could daunt her, Chinese tailoring
seems to suit her much better than
the standard co-ed sweater and
skirt.

formal occasions.

Lan admits. Bicycle-riding is out
of the question, and so are bobby-
socks. At times Ann Arbor wea-
sy ther does, however, force her to
< y knee socks.
