'Teacher Sylvia Hamer is trying to "prepare a place for the
local people to dance, so they won't be running of f to New York
before they're ready" to meet competition in the dance w'orld.

PREPARAITION -- Miss Ma-goon tieing her po inte shoes, a very important procedure; shot
the shoe come untied, she runs the risk of a severe injury. (Pointe work or dancing "sur
Pointe" is the proper term for what is commonly referred to a-s toe work or toe dancing.)

MORE WORK NFEDED -- Martha Woodruff (left) shows in-
correct position of "sur le cou de pied" which is placed to high
on ankle. Suzanna Hedlesky demonstrates wrong raised hip and
unturned heel of "retire."
