Tomorrow and Saturday Taylor Holmes will be shown in his latest screen comedy, "Nothing But Lies," a °highlyamusing comedy 'adapted from the stage play Aaron Hoffman 'vrote for William Collier. The plot con- cerns the efforts of a young man to cover up a friend's mistake, made at the instigation of a radical young woman who is known to her friends and the police as Riot Rosie. When a lurid pamphlet she has her friend write is sent to the papers in place of a big firm's advertising copy, something of a stir is created. And such a stir can be explained by nothing but lies. Supporting Mt. Holmes is a noteworthy cast, includ- ing the beautiful Justine Johnstone, Jack McGowan, Gipsey O'Brien and Ann Wallack. ATTHE MAJESTIC In "Dangerous Hours," which will be shown today for the last time at the Majestic, the operations of the Bolsheviks and radicals, who plan the overthrow of the government, are shown. An especially interesting scene is that of the Russian Duma in session, with Lenine presiding over it. "Mary Ellen Comes ,to Town" is the play, in which Dorothy Gish will be seen at the Majestic Friday and Satur- day. In this picture Miss Gish is seen at her best as a winsome young girl, who manages to 'make her way with some little difficulty. AT THE GARRiCK-DETROIT The Frederic and Fanny Hatton fun and fashion success, "Lombardi, Ltd.," which was used to such excellent ad- vantage by Leo Carrillo, will be the offering of the Binstelle company at the Garrick (Detroit) next week. It will afford Frank Morgan, who has made many friends here, one of the best opportunities of the season, and his versatility wi'.1 be given a severe test in this role, which calls not only for light comedy, but a touch of traged'y, and a clever dialect. The role of Tito Lombardi is that of a fashionable foreign dressmaker on Fifth avenue. The customary Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday matinees will be given. As usual the first performance will be given on Monday and the last on Sun-.. day night. might she be anxious about her hands because at eyery minute of the day they are under inspec- tion.
