SHAKESPEARE CLASS " READS PLAY SCENES Students of Mr. Louis Eich's class1 in Shakespearean reading presented the principal scenes from "The Mer-' chant of Venice" in a recital last even- ing at Sarah Caswell Angell hall. The recital was unique in that no costumes and few pieces of properties were used. The students also changed parts in every scene so that everyone might get to play each character. The Shylock of one scene was the Antonio of another, and so forth. Every sum- mer this class gives a recital of a similar nature. VOMEN'S LEAGUE WILL GIVE PICNIC ON ISLAND THURSDAY The Women's league has invited all of the women students of the Summer session to a picnic Thursday at the Island. The women will meet at,Bar- bour gymnasium at 4:30 o'clock and bring their own suppers. The league will furnish cups and coffee to all who sign the posters on the campus bul- letins.
