Miller, principal of the Detroit Northwestern high school, and Miss, Gertrude Doyle, of Buffalo, both .of whom are graduates of the Univer- sity, were married in Buffalo last Tuesday. Mrs. Miller was graduated from the University in 1915 and since that time has been a member of the Northwestern high school faculty in the Latin department. In addition to being well known as a director of educational affairs, Mr. Miller is an authority on English com- position and has written several text- books on the subject which are widely used in the public schools.I Pollyanna;" featuring Mary Pickford, for a return date, today only. The book, by Eleanor H. Porter, from which this story was taken has been widely read, and the public has been awaiting the arrival of the photoplay. Critics everywhere have acclaimed it to be one of the best pictures ever upon the screen. Tomorrow and Thursday Billie Rhodes, of Christie Comedy fame, will appear in a feature comedy-drama, "His Pajama Girl." She plays the part of "Dolly" Dodd, who was always care- fully chaperoned by her doting father. Her father had so much money that she was lavished with everything she could possibly wish for, with one ex- ception, perhaps-a young gentleman caller or two. Father should have known better; a young, romantic girl like Dolly in time is simply going to find a way out of a trifling difficulty like this. But, like all rich men, he desired more money, and when a cou- ple of "questionable" characters hang a sweet morsel before him in the shape of rich oilf concessions in a Latin country, father quickly becomes their victim. When the secret service operative appears on the job he is busily occu- pied in trailing the thieves and culti- vating the acquaintance of Dolly. This double task is made still more difficult when the father looks with favor upon one of the plotters for I daughter's hand. However, things are almost nice arranged when Dolly disappears, cl in her pajamas. The search and con plications that ensue give the pictv an unusual turn.
