It is an unalloyed farce, in which IMoore takes the part of a lovte-sick swain, who has $100 in cash in the; wor ld, and about $2,000 worth of small debts. Hiy efforts to evade his cred- itors and °to' win the girl on whom he has set his heart precipitate him into many, amusing situations. Gloria slope is Mr. Moore's leading lady, and they are both at their humorous best. For two days, commencing tomor- row, the Arcade will, present Bessie Barriscale in her 'newest photoplay, "The Notorious Mrs. Sands." This is a del icate and subtle satire, on present day social conventions., Miss Barnis- cale, as. Mary Ware, is forced by her mother into a marriage with Sands despite her love for another. The com- plications which ensued go to make up a most ilnteresting photo-drama. One fof the most noteworthy settings of the production shows°$ the interior of an elaborately furnished mansion owned by Grey Sand's, a wealthy bachelor. 'In her role as the, society leader, the star wears, a bewildering array of ,gorgeous' frocks, all especially designed by a noted modiste for this photoplay. are shown many realistic scenes of university life. Taking the role of a young girl who has given her love to a worthless }man, MTI~s Heming does, some fine acting, which makes the pic- ture a success.
