The' last of the men from the sec-
ond detachment, excepting those non-
commissioned officers retained for in-
structors, left Wednesday. All the
men leaving were given full equip-
ment. The only part of the outfits not
taken was the hat cords, which were
left here to he renovated and redyed
for the soldiers of the third detach-
mnent. They were not taken as the
men will be distributed among differ-
oft divisions of the army, and will re-
quire a variety of diversely colored
cords. Bedsacks and blankets of the
detachment have been thoroughly
washed and disinfected, and are
ready for the new comers.
