WITHIN YOUR REACH During the summer session a large number of excellent entertainments have begn provided for by the Univer- sity for the students and people of Ann Arbor. Those who have attended the courses given in previous summers make no hesitation in affirming that they are both entertaining and valu- able. The programs are in the forms of lectures, recitals and plays and the talent is the best obtainable in this city. Furthermore, the entertainments are free to the public and are an at- tempt on the part of the University to extend the scope of its educational facilities, without even compensation. in every conceivable manner. Because of the excellence of these programs, the diversity of subjects treated, and the entertainment and di- version that can be secured from them through the summer months we urge that all students and'friends of the University take advantage of the summer session lectures and enter- tainments. Only by so doing can one come in contact with the larger ex-. tension work of the University and the liberality of its edcatinnal failiti THE WOLVERINE Comin Events SUMMER SCHOOL STUDENTS We're already to serve you.-Our stock (Slmmer Session Lectures) T E X T B O O K Open to all students. WOMEN'S NEWS Sixty-three women were present at the first houe neting of Newberry Residetice held yesterday. This number is greater by four than the total num- ber of woien occupying the residence last summer. Th initial meetig was devoted primarily to business matters and the appointmnt of a nominating commit- tee composed of the Misses Kelsey, White, Newell, Davis, and Claybaugh. The members of this committee will present a list of candidates for the electiots which will be held on Thurs- day evening of this week. Those women who do not wish to buy gymnasium suits may rent them of the Woman's League. Both regula- tion floor suits and swimming suits may be had on application to Miss Mc- Kee, at her office in the gymnasium. The normal training course may he dropped from the summer schedule, according to present indications. Swimming and tennis prove to be pop- ular sports in the women's athletic de- partment this summer. The registra- tion in these classes is as large as usual but so few women have enrolled in the class in normal training and playground work that unless at least ten sign up immediately, the course will have to be dropped, The Women's league has planned several enjoyable events to relieve the strain of study during the hot summer months. In the near future, they will give ,an opening reception where last year's friendships may be renewed and new ones made. To keep up the good work, there will be several Dansants, probably one a week. Every member is urged to come and others are invited to come and join. Try The Wolverine for service. CLASSIFIED WANTED-Young lady wants room for the summer with private family or in quiet house.
