Small Atdience
Before a small but appreciative aud-
ience, in the auditorium of the Natural
Science building, Dr. R. B. Canfield,
of the Medical school, Tuesday night
gave the fourth of the summer series
of faculty lectures. Dr. Canfield's
talk was on "The Discharging Ear."
The subject, while a highly techni-
cal one, was handled by the lecturer
in such a way as to be understandable
by every member of the audience,
whether an expert i nmedicine or not.
A complete analysis of the disease was
given, including its hiitorical and
present status in medicine, and the
development of its treatment. An out-
line of the latest advances in the fight
against the affliction was also drawn
during the progress of the lecture.
Dr. Canfield has devoted many years
to the study of the diseases of the ear.
