Every summer the University of Vir- ginia stages a "Rural Week." This is a conference at which farmers, rural school officers, village capitalists and legislators attend, discuss, and listen to speeches and papers on subjects that are of vital interest to rural communi- ties. The entire program .is of a very practical nature, and many of the well- known speakers on rural subjects are down on the program to speak on the subjects they are best fitted for. The general scheme is similar to that em- played by the 'Michigan Schoolmasters' club at their conferences here. THE NEW CATALOGUE of the University of Michigan IS NOW READY Complete information concerning seven departments: Collegiate, Engineering, Medicine, Law, Pharmacy, Homeopathy, Den- tistry, and the Graduate School and the Summer Session. Special courses in Forestry, Newspaper Work, Landscape Design, Higher Commercial Education including Railway Administration and Insurance, Architecture, Conservation Engineering, Pedagogy (affiliated with Ann Arbor High School for Observation Study), and a new course for those preparing for the scientific administration of departments of sanitation and public health.
