DRUIDS-He isn't green yet, but this young sappling will saon be painted green for the ordeal
which will turn him into a mighty tree. Standing on the.steps of the General Library, the strong oaks
who have already grown consider his fitness. The sapling needs exercise, first, and then of course he
must be watered in order for him to gain strength.
Scroll - -

affiliated junior women with

Members go from house to
house after hours, tapping new
members and singing, "Out of the
night comes a sound of voices,

crew."
Each year Scroll offers a $100
scholarship to a. Junior affiliated
woman, based on leadership and
need. Scroll also promotes cooper-

Wyvern -
Also a local honorary, Wyvern

sophomore year. Wyvern members
are chosen for participation in ac-

Members, wearing yellow slick-

chanting the traditional "Damn,
damn, damn to Michigamua, to
hell with Sphinx And Vulcans,
too, to the Druids and the rest,
for we know we are the best. We
are Wyvern's daughters tried and
true."
Wyvern originated in the years
when there were only a few wo-
men on campus. Its purposes in-
clude looking after i n c o mi n g
freshmen, serving as guides and
answering questions.
Its name is taken from an old
Welsh word meaning "protecting
dragon."
VULCANS-Mount Aetna is still a long way off for these engineering students being initiated
their college's senior honorary. First they must bee blackened with tar around the mighty forg
the great god, then they must proceed to the sacred anvil near the engineering buildings, which 1
be cleaned before these earthlings can be accepted.
