Well-known judges of Hopwood fiction have been: Taylor Cald- well, Bernard DeVoto, Walter D. Edmonds, Clifton Fadiman, Gran- ville Hicks, Sinclair Lewis, John P. Marquand, Marjorie K. Raw- lings, Agnes S. Trunbull and Thornton Wilder. Poetry judges have included W. H. Auden, Stephen Benet, Archi- bald MacLeish, Edgar Lee Masters, Dorothy Parker and Mark Van Doren.
