The first of their experimental newspapers has been mpleted, with two more issues yet to come. Sponsored by the journalism. department, the work- hops are designed to give high school students practice in all phases of producing high school ublications. Three of the workshop members study a high school yearbook for new ideas. Carillonneur Sets Recital Prof. Pervical Price of the mu- sic school, University carillonneur, will present a concert on the Baird Carillon at 8:30 p.m. this evening. Trumpeter Ralph M i n n i c k, Grad., will be featured as soloist. The concert will open with two numbers for trumpet and carillon, "See the Conquering HeroComes" by Handel and "Air from Euri- dice" by .Per; Two 18th Century Flemish clock chime numbers for carillon alone will follow - "The Carillon of Eklesbeke" and "The Carillon of Dunkeri. " "Trumpet Voluntary" by Clarke and "Trumpet Tune" by Purcell will be performed by the carillon and trumpet. "Victory Rhapsody" by Price will follow. Composed in 1944 by request, it announced the Allied victory in Europe by being played on the carillons which had remained silent throughout the war. The concert will end with four compositions for solo trumpet and carillon, three sea songs and "The Victors" by Louis. Elbel. The Western Roof Terrace of the Rackham Bldg. has been recom- mended as a listening place.
