"Henry IV, Part One" stars Christopher Plummer, Douglas Campbell, Douglas Rain and Broadway actor Jason Ribards, Jr. and is directed by Michael Lang- ham and George McCowan. "Much Ado About Nothing," the second production of the season, is directed by Michael Langham and stars British actress Eileen Herlie, Christopher Plummer and William Hutt. Play to Open The third play, "The Winter's Tale," directed by Douglas Camp- bell will be opened in mid-season and will feature Christopher Plummer, Eileen Herlie, Frances Hyland and Bruno Gerussi. The fourth annual Festival of Music will feature a three-week presentation ofFThe Beggar's Opera" by John Gay. It is a circular concrete structure featuring a fluted roof and seating 2,190. French Theatre Le Theatre du Noveau Monde, well-known company of French- speaking Canadian actors from Montreal, makes its second visit to the Stratford Festival this sum- mer where they will present Mo- liere's "Le Malade, Imaginaire" in French from Aug. 18 through Aug. 30. The Second Biennial Exhibition of Canadian Painting, made avail- able throughthe courtesy of the National Gallery in Ottawa, are on display in the former Concert Hall. Also on exhibition are the work of members of the Canadian. Handicrafts Guild and, for the first time in Canada, the wood- cuts of a famous theatrical de- signer, Edward Gordon Craig. The Richard Southern Theatre Exhibit and costumes and proper- ties from past Stratford produc- tions will make up other exhibits which will be on display through- out the 1958 season. During the final week of the season, a special series of school matinees will be presented for the high school students of the prov- ince.
